And he also said not to talk to Robert for a while. Poor Robert.
But despite what Frank said, it's not ALL my fault! I mean, so I might have made Robert feel bad by scoring those excellent goals past him all week, and it might be my fault that he couldn't practice with those balls, and that because Gareth was covering my space to the left he couldn't close down my American friend Clint properly, but still, I AM the captain, so I must be better than all the others. All the newspapers say I'm the best player England has ever had (or so Alex tells me. I only look at the pictures).
Monday 14th June
5pm. Me and John were captains in the practice game today. We had to pick teams at the start, it was just like being back at school! I picked my friends Jamie and Glen first, and Emile because he knows my friend Michael and Michael said Emile's link play is world class. We were all excited about beating John and Frank and those guys. I scored a good goal against Robert, who screamed into the turf and called me a Scouse 'invalid', which I think must mean 'hot shot'. I made some great tackles too, I sent Ledley flying with a great sliding tackle, it's so funny when that big man falls over.
8pm. Now Ledley is hurt too! Our defensive coach must be pushing them too hard. Jamie came over and said thanks for picking him in my team today. At least I think that's what he was thanking me for.
